1. Information We Collect

Information you provide

• Account details: name and email address when you sign up.
• Payment information: handled by our payment processor, Stripe. We do not store your full card number; Stripe processes payments on our behalf. See Stripe's privacy policy at stripe.com/privacy.
• Communications you send us (for example, support emails).

Information collected automatically

• Redemption activity: which deals you redeem, at which Partner Restaurant, and when. This is required to operate the once-per-day redemption limit and to report redemptions to Partner Restaurants in aggregate.
• Usage and device data: log data such as IP address, browser/device type, and pages viewed, used to operate and secure the Service.
• Cookies and similar technologies used for login sessions and basic functionality.

We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18. The Service is for adults.

2. How We Use Information

We use your information to:

• Create and manage your account and membership;
• Process subscription payments through Stripe;
• Operate deal redemption, including enforcing redemption limits and detecting or preventing fraud, duplicate accounts, and account-sharing abuse (which may involve payment method and device signals);
• Communicate with you about your account, billing, and Service updates;
• Improve and secure the Service;
• Comply with legal obligations.

3. How We Share Information

We do not sell your personal information. We share information only:

• With Partner Restaurants: aggregate or redemption-level information needed to honor and account for deals (for example, that a valid member redeemed a specific deal at their location). Restaurants do not receive your contact details from us.
• With service providers that help us run the Service — including Stripe (payments), our hosting and database providers, and email delivery services — each only as needed to perform their function.
• For legal reasons: if required by law, legal process, or to protect the rights, safety, or property of 412 Plates, our members, or others.
• In a business transfer: if 412 Plates is involved in a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, your information may transfer as part of that transaction, subject to this Policy.

4. Data Retention

We keep account and redemption data while your account is active and as needed for legitimate business purposes (such as fraud prevention, accounting, and legal compliance). You may request deletion of your account and associated personal data at any time (see Section 6).

5. Security

We use reasonable technical and organizational safeguards to protect your information, including encrypted connections and access controls. No system is perfectly secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

6. Your Choices and Rights

• Access and update: you can view and update your account details in the app.
• Cancel: you can cancel your subscription anytime through your account's billing settings.
• Delete: you can request deletion of your account and personal data by using the in-app account deletion option or emailing us at calvin@412plates.com. We will delete your data except where retention is required by law.
• Email: transactional emails (billing, account) are part of the Service; any marketing emails will include an unsubscribe option.

Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under applicable privacy laws, such as the right to access, correct, or delete personal data. To exercise them, contact us at the email below.

7. Third-Party Links and Services

The Service may link to Partner Restaurant websites or other third-party sites. Their privacy practices are their own; this Policy does not cover them.

8. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will notify you through the Service or by email before they take effect. The "Effective date" above shows the latest revision.
